Anniversary saved by you! We always go out to eat deliciously on our anniversary, which is unfortunately not possible due to the lockdown. So we thought we'd try the take-away. The food was delivered to the minute at the agreed time. It was packed in such a way that everything lay separately so that it could be served on your own plate. Everything was warmly received. The food was delicious and my steak was medium as intended, despite the delivery. The portion was decent, for the money, the quality, absolutely adequate. Thanks for the good food, we can only recommend it to everyone to order it here in the lonely time.

A huge amount of praise and a big thank you for the fantastic take-away menu which we enjoyed on New Year's Eve !!! Matching courses and with tasty and pleasant surprising variations of a young, modern kitchen, the menu became a real taste experience. Keep it up!

Due to the current catering situation, we decided at the weekend to use Schwäke's food pick-up service. On the menu was a tempting leg of goose with pretzel dumplings, chestnuts and red cabbage. At first I was skeptical whether the leg of goose would make it to my table crispy and warm, but I have to say: it was a poem! The goose was crispy on the outside, deliciously seasoned and tender as butter! In addition, a delicious sauce and a great seasoned red cabbage. That calls out loudly for a repetition! If it's still on the menu, next weekend it's the stag's turn ...! We wish the nice team from Gasthaus Schwäke every success in getting through this difficult time as unscathed as possible!

Very cozy in the old building. Prices are a bit high but for what you get really great food was really terrific.

My girlfriend and I went there for the first time on recommendation. And we loved the many components on the plate. A great selection of wines and very courteous, friendly service. We were definitely not here for the last time.

I came to Schwäke on Sunday afternoon. The place was empty and the beer garden was partially occupied. When I asked if there was a place for me, they said no. Reservations are coming soon and it would have to be reworked first. I was not asked whether I wanted to have a drink or something to eat. For a restaurant that is open all day on Sundays .....

We had made a reservation, got the menu after 25 minutes, and after 55 minutes we left the beer garden without ordering drinks or food. We were prepared for particularly good cuisine, which, thank God, was still served in the Gronau inn. Thanks to Udo and his delicious broad beans. Have a nice and well-deserved day off ...

Great menu full of creative, new dishes, plus a very nicely designed restaurant with a cozy beer garden and the service was also sensationally attentive and friendly. Lovely again!

I was passing through and was recommended to eat there. I was expecting servings with thick, heavy sauce. Fortunately, there were interesting dishes of a composition and quality that I would not have suspected here. Hence a clear recommendation. The landlord probably comes from the far north, as little as he spoke. His waitress, on the other hand, did the opposite. Both were friendly and I felt comfortable.

We will be back. Food was delicious. Fresh ingredients. I like the fact that no 08/15 dishes are served here. So I'm looking forward to trying out the menu. The only criticism would be the slightly salted sauce. Service was attentive and friendly.

Great if you want to eat with a chef who combines love and passion in his recipes and only uses fresh ingredients. If you also want to meet a great service, go to this beer garden. Anette our waitress could not be beat that food was "FABULOUS" anyway. I cook myself very elaborately and always fresh, but I can't keep up. An unforgettable evening - again and again I would like to stop there !!!!!! ***********

Excellent food. The atmosphere is rather cozy and a little rustic, but the dishes are modern, creative and very tasty. The products are fresh and impeccably prepared, the portions are large, three courses are hard to find. The service is fast, friendly and uncomplicated, you feel very comfortable and welcome. There is also nothing to complain about in terms of price, for the quality the prices are completely reasonable. Tip: the Zabaglione is excellent! Great restaurant!

We had one of the best dinner experiences here! The hosts were so cheerful and gracious. The ambience is too cozy and the food is just brilliant! I am definitely visiting them again the next time I come to Germany!!
